Wheat Berry Grain Spawn Tek *no Fail Version*

Recommended Posts

  • 4 weeks later...

Decided to try some Red Wheat Berries with this tek.

One of the jars colonized much faster than the rest, then upon further inspection, it looks like green mold formed on the inside of some of the kernels and is now spreading.

Two of the jars are still progressing nicely along.

The last jar, seems to have stalled out with very little growth, gave it a shake today. Hoping the the best.

The one that molded (so far), seems to have a lot of exploded berries inside of it. Maybe I left it on the stove too long.

I used the residue from the shot glass after making spore syringe. Just added little water in the shot glass and poured it in wheat berries preserve jar and I couldn't believe after 2 week mycelium was growing. As of now half of the jar is colonised.

you can get 21 lbs of white wheat on walmart.com for like 20 bucks right now.

you can also buy 5lbs of brown rice at walmart for 5 bucks and grind it with a coffee grinder :P

Would organic hard white wheat berries from Bob's Red Mill work bro? I tried Walmart didn't see it, here its 25# , $25

I wish you were online cause I wanted to know this before hand but I'm just going to follow your tek and use WBS instead of the whole rye berries which I will def use next time less annoyance with sifting out seeds and corn. I guess the question is moot now lol but fug it still gonna post this.

So I used WBS and made enough for 10 but then only decided to use 4 jars worth and threw the rest away mostly because I was terrified that itll fuck up due my lack of experience. I noticed the rye grain is way more expensive but it seems a lot easier picking out all those god damn sunflower seeds took forever. I also found out to my dismay that my pressure cooker was like a half inch too shallow so I had to try a different method with a large pot and steaming them. I pray this works and after I make some cash off these things I will have to invest in a pressure cooker thats big enough. I only have a few questions really after letting the jars sit and cool do I have to inject them right away or can they hold in the jars at room temp for at least a day til I hear back from you?

With a presure cooker that's fine but steaming them u are racing the tams I'd do it soon as cool .your spawn is the most important part of your grow .can you lay the jars on there sides in your  presure cooker?if so I would do so even if you can only do a couple at a time .

A big gap.  It was a story about ayahuasca and antibiotics that got me wondering about mixing the two being a bad idea.   Thank you for the input.

Intriguing and harrowing case report of someone who injected themselves with mushroom (P. cubensis) tea...spores included. He nearly killed himself doing this, and was on ICU life support for multiple-system organ failure for some time. He had bipolar disorder type I and had been researching ways to treat his opioid dependence and depression, and was intrigued to give psychedelics a try. One very weird take away from this: "...the species of mushroom he had injected was now growing in his blood". Not only did the mushroom spores survive boiling, but they germinated and started growing in his bloodstream according to this. Curious about the wider evolutionary implications of this pertaining to the mushroom...given how tough and resilient mushroom spores appear to be, it calls into question the hypothesis put forward that psilocybin acts as a repellent...perhaps it more likely acts as an attractant. Makes me curious about the association of P. cubensis with bovine dung, perhaps bovines are ingesting spores and helping distribute them...I wouldn't put it past those crafty fungi. https://www.vice.com/en/article/v7mp74/man-injects-magic-mushrooms-they-grow-in-his-blood Study: Giancola et al. Thanks guys. I inoculated the LC via an agar wedge. Although the mycelium in the LC looked a bit lackluster, it does seem to be colonsing jars of rice/dung without issue. Time and heat definitely isn't an issue, the room the LC and grain jars are being stored in is nice and warm, and initial growth was rapid. Thank you for the recipe switch recommendation...I will definitely try this if I have issues.
