Popular Post magicman 6084
I am renting a house to grow some weed in, we have been building the flower room slowly for the last few weeks. We wanted to maximize the grow space, and the pre-made flood tables only came in 4x8' and 3x6'. There was going to be either too much wasted space, or no room to walk around to work and water, etc. So we decided to custom build our trays. We built two 5x7' frames from 2x4's, and we used corrugated metal roofing as the trays. We put a metal mesh screen on top for the plants to sit on and be strudy, but still drain down to the roofing pieces. We sloped the trays towards the wall, where a rain gutter is attatched. There is a drain in the wall near the floor that hooks into the kitchen drain, so we are draining the waste water from the plants and RO machine to that drain. We have six 600w lights in there, with a 2 ton mini split AC unit to keep it cool. We still need to do a couple things, but right now we are just vegging the plants we have for a week or so, then we will clone them all, and start the first round of flower with those clones. I need cuts for this summer's outdoor GH grow also The plants were crowded under a 4' T5 light, so some are small and weak and need to grow bigger and get some strength to stand up on their own. I may need some bamboo stakes to help some of them. Both my PH meters were shot, so I had to water them with nutrient water ph'd using litmus papers. I got a new ph probe, I will flush them tomorrow with ph'd RO water, and then nurse them back to health so we can strip them down to get as many clones as we can. I think there is 21 different strains there, most are clone-only strains from Cali. There's a few cookie strains and lots of OG crosses too. Off the top of my head, we have: Girl Scout Cookies, Thin Mint Cookies, Sunset Sherbert, Orangina, Superman OG, Larry OG, SFV OG, Mendo Breath, Sour Patch Kids, Sour Diesel, Tangies, Sour Tangies, Forbidden Fruit, Platinum Purple, Skywalker OG, Gorilla Glue #4, Orange Cookies Maybe a few others too I am not remembering, but it's a good start We will probably weed them down to the best dozen strains or so. Thanks for looking!

SU-85B 172
Is smell a problem in your area, y9u going to be running any air scrubbers. But things look promising!
magicman 6084
There is a large HEPA air scrubber you can see in the closet, then we still have to install a small Can filter that will suck out all the air in the room once in a while and pump it into the attic. There will be an ozone machine running in the attic 24/7 to neutralize any smell that is left. It shouldn't smell until you walk into the flower room. There is only 1 neighbor close to us, and he is cool and knows what we're doing. We are also going to build a fence around the front area so no one can access the front door, or go within 10' of the house.
Awakened 136
Did you use screws or a pneumatic spiker to hold together the wooden frames? From the depth of the heads in the photo there is no way you hit them in with the hammer that is shown above. That is unless you used a nail punch to get the head in farther. This is educational. The sheet metal was a good use of material. It's 10x easier than emptying out overfilled trays that could lead to mold. The use of the gutters was another thing I applaud. There goes Magicman, living up to his name and thinking outside the box. Skywalker OG is an excellent strain, it gets me baked. We've that and Girl Scout Cookie all the way up here in Canada. May I ask, if you were to grow mushrooms in the same house as marijuana. Do you end up with spores germinating in the plant pots that compete with the cannabis plants for nutrients? I ask because before a Sempervivum plant in my house started to grow mushrooms in it's soil. Because Sempervivum is native to North Africa, I imagined that mushrooms may form a symbiotic relationship with the roots of the Sempervivum(Hens & Chickens). In the off chance they did create symbiotic relationships, I thought that the ancient Egyptians might have harvested mushrooms in the patches of hens and chickens. I could've been wrong at the time and perhaps they just germinated there because conditions were right.

Everything was constructed using deck screws. 6 hours ago, Awakened said: May I ask, if you were to grow mushrooms in the same house as marijuana. Do you end up with spores germinating in the plant pots that compete with the cannabis plants for nutrients I have grown mushrooms and weed together for years, I have never seen them pop out of my soil. I use mycorizzae (or something) that colonizes the substrate and is beneficial for the roots and the uptake of nutrients. Mycellium breaks down the soil and nutes, making them available for the plants to absorb.

He cost me a whole indoor harvest and my outdoor plans suffered too. I want to get Spectrum King Fluence Spyder LED's when I have the money.
magicman 6084
Some indoor moms and some clones. I lost half my clones when I went out of town and didn't tell my friend to give them water . There are still plenty for the next round at least. Flower room is about 4 weeks in, I will post pics of that in a day or 2. The bigger moms in the 1st pic are GDP, Cherry-gasm, and Afghani. The moms to the left are Orangina, Larry OG, Thin Mint Cookies, GG4, and a couple others I can't remember right now.
Popular Post magicman 6084
Flower room with the HPS lights on, sorry for the bad pics but the HPS is cray with the pics. I wish it was a better canopy but it is what it is. If I don't get at least 4lbs from this I will be very pissed. I need to step it up a notch, this room should produce at least 5lbs every harvest or more to make it worth while. I am going to turn the veg into another flower room when my outdoor plants start making money at the end of the season, and just put the veg room in the living room now that no one is living there. Gotta switch to LED flower lights soon too This is about half way through, they are starting to dense up, should be a good harvest. This is connoisour weed, the dispensaries are like Walmart weed. Last few pics are of the Sunset Sherbert, so fire and purple! It literally smells and tastes like sherbert ice cream Great bag appeal too. For anyone who cares, I am using Cyco nutrients with Nectar for the Gods Herculean Harvest (liquid bone meal) and microbes (Photosynthesis Plus and Sea of Green) in the flower. Plus I add Grow Aloe powdered aloe extract for nute absorbtion. This stuff is new and freaking AWESOME! I highly recommend with veg and flower. Foilar in veg, root drench in flower.
Popular Post magicman 6084
I was watering tonight with the green light on and the lights kicked on. I only had a few seconds before the yellow light, but here it is. The PAR meter showed enough even at the bottom of the tray, so I stripped all the fan leaves off at week 2, I need more plants to SCROG and fill the space next time. Still, it is a little over 4 weeks into flower, I let them go 63 days, or 9 weeks. They are pretty dense already and beefing up on the daily. The canopy was full before the trim, I am still learning how to max this fucking room out. It should and will do better next time hopefully
Popular Post magicman 6084
I harvested the flower room 2 weeks ago again. One tray was a SCROG grow, about a dozen larger plants that were tucked under the trellising as they grew to make a canopy. The second tray had 30 plants SOG style, all came out super fire. I finally set up a proper cure room which really made a HUGE difference in quality. It was kept at 60*F and 60% rh for about 2 weeks. Today I will bag them up and start trimming them up to get ready for sale. I should have been curing this way all along. Better late than never though. Just in time as I just got a dispensary job as a grower Here is the next round, just transplanted the clones into 2 and 3 gallon pots into straight coco and chunky perlite. I’ll veg them for 2-3 weeks and then flip them into flower. I do 11/13 during flower (11 hours lights on). I don’t know why my camera can’t get a decent pic of a nug, but here is some White Rhino that turned out sooo bomb and frosty, it looks 10 times better in person.
Mushinist 3626
Congrats on the new job! So does the 11/13 light cycle speed things up a bit? It looks good, and I know what you mean as far as pic quality goes, I have just quit trying to take pics of bud close up because it does it no justice. 1

I think running 11/13 during flower saves an hour of electricity running the lights, but it also allows the plants to show more of their phenotype properties so it doesn’t all look the same. I’m sure there are other reasons but that is what I have read and heard from other growers more experienced than myself. I see tons of pics every day on Instagram of Fire nugs and they all look good. I don’t know if it’s user error or my phone camera 🤷🏻♂️

I know you can buy little macro lenses for them, since mine doesn't have a macro setting, but oh well. Thanks for the info though, may just give that a try next time!
