I’ll bet they are just bruised from over handling. Roll em in verm , gently mist em , and get em in your fc for the next flush

Can you see the pics or am I not allowed to upload as a stranger? Should I leave the fan on them after casing over the pins to dry out the mold?

Also I really have no idea what im doing when im misting and fanning.  If I have this little fan on low for 5 mins after misting till the inside of the container looks like it does in the pictures twice a day at this point.  Is that the correct amount of misting and fanning?   Also they are growing in all directions,  can I use  10000lux sad light to direct them?  or does it need to be UV light I also have a NB UVB light that I can use?  Thanks!

That is something you would do with cased, bulk substrates. Do not do that with the fan. Fan for a max of 1 minute with cakes.

Understood ty!  How much should I mist?  Like 5 squirts of fine misted distilled water from a squirt bottle?  Is the discoloration just bruising or mold?

The individual mush pics look like just bruising on the stems.   Same with the cakes but could be myc piss also not an issue.   Bruising caused by rough handling.   BE GENTLE with those virgins!

I feel so bad I beat up my babies =(.  I am going on vacation for a week here in 5 days,  should I just heavily mist them and keep them at 72 degrees?

If they are not pinning yet mist away and as long as perlite is wet and they have sufficient FAE they'll be fine.   Less is more it appears.

You should pluck those pins that grew in the jar.

yay ^_^,  so I am leaving my babies with a friend with no experience.  Is there like a to do list you could give me to give to her?  I plucked all the mush that had grown pre dunk.  Do I have to dry the shrooms?  I washed the verm off and put them in my turbo toaster ovena t 250 degrees

Hope you didn't charcoal your shrooms.   I air dry mine using a fan.    To do list?   Read PF Tek above under mushroom cultivation for the stage you are at.

Definitely something going on there but I don't think it's mold. If it is, you should already know because it will spread very fast.

BTW, are you guys ok with your faces showing up in the forums?
