Doesn't casing improve multiple flushes? Not casing would give you an earlier first flush. I guess it really depends on your priorities.

@MagicalCriminal normally I would but when I pulled a couple tubs out of my IC they were all pinned up already and idk if casing them would mess things up ?

I’ve had multiple flushes before when I did bags and never cased bags .

Sounds like experiment time with casing being the only difference.

I’m just going to leave those two alone . Nothing ventured .

Thumbs up for experiments with only 1 variable. Looking forward to your results.

I already have my first experiment planned for faster LC growth. Can hardly wait to get started.

Just wondering why that patch in the middle didn’t close .

Doent appear to be a different color or zooming anything colorful .

Btw I threw those two uncased tubs out . They gave me a few penis envies but they had stuff growing on the fruits, blue stuff on the caps like dust ...

I did however like the cluster and the density of those mushrooms and took the center and put it in some H2O2 and then onto some agar . So we will see what we can get from it if anything .

See I asked about this before about coir thinking it was structure and was told coir is slow nutes. I would say let's get our ducks in a row, but would hate us all chasing the wrong tangent. Perhaps some collaborative testing? Just not sure how to go about it. Any ideas?

      I had to look.🙄 And now I regret it.😉

No.   My understanding is they simply provide some form of nutrient to help pull the mycelium growth through the coir substrate.   Fruiting is a response to starvation and evaporation from what I understand so the less nutrients the shorter the time to fruit.    How much time should you wait after adding lime to take a new Ph reading?    I would assume adding untreated coir to high Ph coir would bring down the Ph level to an acceptable level.   If I am wrong in this assumption let me know.   If I should toss it let me know that as well.

Thankfully bugs haven't been a issue here. But damn, how to rid a dwelling of powder mildew(if that's what I'm seeing)? Already tossed the house plants it was found on. Afraid I may need to vent the tent outside.

Do the grinds buffer high pH?
