MZ wanted to tell you I got the air purifier and the d filter. It ran about 68:00 dollars. I also took at larger one for the whole room. I live in and old farmhouse that has been redone, but being a lover of animals are house is anything but sterile. I know everyone is going to say, pick a room, and clean it! That's the problem, there is no room for me! I am negotiating for the dinning rm because it has 2 cafe doors that close off the room. We never use the dinning rm anyway! Got to run, dinner is ready. Later DM

Hey Zoomer, I got mine at the store it has 1 filter. The upgraded filter comes 2 in a pack and says D at the bottom of the box.I have not hooked it up to the plastic bag as I am using it with normal filter to clean air right now. DM

make sure you guys spray the fuck out of the inside of the bag and wipe down the part of the machine that is in the bag very well. you cant slack on sterile technique just because of sterile air flow

perfect! I really don't have the cash currently to go all out and build a FH.

IF this will be a good temporary setup, I will build one.

I would suggest getting yourself a large tub of which can accomadate your smaller tubs. Cut 4 2" holes with one on each side of the tub cover with tyvec seal around edges with tape. Make sure they are about 3" up from the bottom just in case you want to use the big tub for sub some day .Place your smaller tubs inside and mist the sides of the large tub to get that humidity level up. Good luck and don't panic.

Hello  keep on keeping on eventually it will work! from what I can see in the tubs they look a little on the dry side so I would try and boost the humidity. you would be surprised at what types of conditions mushrooms will grow. Way back in the day when I was going full tilt I did not use casing in my first endeavours and still made some pretty good flushes. The mean green happens sometimes however you should be making sure you are using sterile technique to a T. Make sure your grain spawn is always 100% colonized plus a week before spawning. Also are you pasturizing your bulk sub or sterilizing it? If your temps get too high during pasteurization it kills most of everything living in the substrate. This is not a good thing as you want to keep some of the beneficial microorganisms to fight off the bad aka mean green and other contaminants. For any bulk sub preparation it's recommended to pasteurize not sterilize. If you sterilize then the spawn must be spawned in a sterile environment to keep contaminants out then you gotta pray the spawn takes hold before any tams do. For this reason I only pasteurize. For now I would keep on caring for the tubs as you should with misting and fanning try to bump that moisture up a bit. You want to see some moisture condensing on the sides of the tub not so it's running and flooding the sub just so there are droplets of water on the sides.   I hope this helps in some way like I said keep on keeping on eventually you will be able to produce mushrooms in your sleep.  This tub here was never cased

Hello new shroomery here, question.   Having a hard time finding fruiting chambers for 6qt dub tub bulk spawn.   Was curious if there is one, OR a better way to environmentally control my fruiting process?
