So for a bit now I've been talking about trying the edible side of mush growing and finally have done it with pink oysters. There will be others coming soon (golden oyster, king oyster, reishi and lions mane). I will just add them to this thread as they come along. I used phish' wood substrate recipe, so far it has worked great. The only change I had to make was I used alder pellets because the store I went to didn't have oak pellets. Went walking in the woods this morning to see what's poppin, a few chanterelles are starting to come up, oysters are abundant, and some reishi, a lot of boletuses too. Sorry magicman, that little pile of chants are going in my belly, lol. I'm going out again tomorrow to look in another spot, maybe there will be more!

Thought I would share a few baskets of oysters I had outside. they love the cool temps and lots of FAE. The sub is straw, using a bulk pasteurization tek, baskets sat at room temperature(74) in a room for 3 to 4 weeks , and which point the mushrooms were forcing their way thru the bag, I cut holes in the bag and place them outside in the north east corner of the house. there are Phoenix and PInk Oyster, MZ sent me

Well so will start my log, as promised in indroduction. Who dont know so im going to grow Oysters in bulk. Plan: 1. Make LC´s from spore syringe. 2. WBS grain spawn 3. Mixing spawn with straw, and put into bags. Well expected result is somethink like that I were growing mushrooms before (cubes) and never had problems, but i never were doing my own LC. So right now im at step one, and my LC is most likely contaminated... Jars with SHIP (seems to be done ok) But the culture itself contaminated? Anyway those LC´s werent incubated, so today i decided to
